Masticating Juicer Definition

A masticating juicer is one which 'chews' the fruit and / or vegetables to break down the item(s) into pulp.

The second stage extracts all the juice through squeezing the pulp.

A masticating juicer is great for juicing wheatgrass which cannot be juiced using conventional juicers.

Masticating juicers tend to operate at slower speeds compared to centrifugal juicers whcich means the resulting juice is less oxidised meaning the juice can be kept longer.

Masticating juicers can also, as a result of operating at a slower speed, be quieter to operate when compared to centrifugal juicers.
